JobTrainer must give importance to skills that are most sought-after
The central government must recognize the trades in high
demand to guarantee the JobTrainer package is productive, industry heads said.
While the industry has invited the $2 billion JobTrainer - the package which expands economical help to learners and apprentices, many
mentioned that finding the right skills in the right field will be tough for
Australia's financial recovery.
Workforce modeling by industry has found areas of high
demand including the resources and power sector, civil, mechanical trades and
engineering, and the renewable power source field.
Where is the greatest demand for mechanical engineers?
Research charged by the Clean Energy Council (CEC)
discovered there are 45,000 renewable employments available to anyone and much
of the time these positions could go to previous coal employees and help local
zones.
The research was distributed on the Australian Engineers and
Technical Tradies site.
Renewable power source employments give a decent match to
existing coal occupations across a range of blue and white-collar occupations,
including construction and project managers, engineers, electrical repairmen,
site managers, and mechanical specialists.
In excess of 450 Australian renewable energy source
organizations were asked for the survey, covering large scale wind, solar-based
and hydro, rooftop solar, and batteries.
The CEC said the point of the project was to discover what number of individuals were hired in renewable energy and in what occupations. It is the first large-scale study of renewable energy jobs in Australia.
